Rita Alberta Kelsey (née Busch) died peacefully on August 29, 2015 in Hingham, Massachusetts due to complications from heart disease. She was 92.
Mrs. Kelsey was born on January 29, 1923 in Brooklyn, NY to Henry and Clara Busch. She attended Pratt University and worked for Doubleday Publishers. She married Ronald Kelsey in 1947. The Kelseys moved to New Kensington, PA in 1948. While they moved to cities around the country, they always returned to New Kensington and lived there for many years. In 1983, they retired in Falmouth, MA, where they lived for 25 years.
Mrs. Kelsey was an avid reader and had a lifelong love of books and literature. She instilled her passion for learning and reading in her children and grandchildren. She worked at the New Kensington Public Library before her retirement, and was a dedicated volunteer at the Falmouth Public Library and the Falmouth Historical Society during her years on Cape Cod.
A beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Mrs. Kelsey is survived by her husband Ronald; three sons, Mark, David and Peter; five grandchildren; a great grandson; and three daughters-in-law.
