Obituary

NATICK: Patricia M. (Moriarty) Dickson, age 92, died early Saturday morning, August 29, 2015, at Riverbend of South Natick, her home for the past seven years.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Mary Lucille (Martin) Moriarty. Patricia was a 1940 graduate of Philadelphia’s Germantown High School and continued her education at the Philadelphia Conservatory of Music. She was employed in the offices of the Pennsylvania Railroad until she was married to Wallace H. Dickson in 1946.

The Dicksons settled in Glenside, PA, where Patricia created a warm and comfortable home for her growing family. A quiet lady, she enjoyed tending her gardens and spent much of her free time sewing and reading. In1990, Patricia came to Natick and lived with her daughter until moving into a residence at Sherwood Village.

She is survived by her daughter, P. Gail Martin and her spouse Carolyn M. Williams of Natick; her son, Wallace H. Dickson, Jr., of Largo, FL; two grandsons, Thomas Martin and his wife Meaghan of Needham, and Alexander Martin and his fiancée Alison of Cambridge; and two great-grandchildren, Henry and Matilda. Her brother, Jack Moriarty, and her former spouse, Wallace, predeceased her.

Friends may visit with Patricia’s family in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common, on Tuesday, September 8th beginning at 3:00 P.M. and join them for a Memorial Service at 4:00P.M. The Reverend Victoria Alford Guest, Pastor of the First Congregational Church of Natick will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Patricia’s memory to the First Congregational Church, 2 East Central Street, Natick, MA 01760.
