CHICOPEE – Ronna R. “Cookie” (Clark) Ethier, 69, of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Sunday, August 30, 2015. She passed into Eternal Life at Wingate at Wilbraham surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Chicopee on January 12, 1946, a beloved daughter of the late George R. Clark and Marguerite V. (Myette) Clark. She was raised in the Willimansett section of Chicopee, graduated from the former Chicopee Vocational High School and was a lifelong resident of Chicopee. Most of all, Cookie was a wonderful homemaker to her family and showered them with her love and affection which was returned to her a thousand fold. She leaves her beloved husband and best friend, David D. Ethier. They were married on May 30, 1968 at Grace Episcopal Church in Chicopee and were blessed with over 47 years of happiness together. She also leaves her two loving daughters, Lisa L. Lavoie of West Springfield and Colleen C. Menard and her husband, Jason, of Belchertown; her three cherished granddaughters whom she adored, Simone V. Lavoie, Abigail R. Menard and Grace K. Menard; her two dear brothers, Charles Clark and his wife, Maxine, and Ronald Clark and his wife, Noreen, all of Chicopee; her six dear sisters, Alice Gosselin of Chicopee, Frances Theroux and her husband, Robert, of Holyoke, Patricia Przybyla and her husband, Joseph, of Chicopee, Eileen Urian and her husband, Richard, of Enfield, CT, Eleanor Piotrowski and her husband, Karol, of Plantsville, CT and Renee Burns of Chicopee; and her many dear nephews, nieces and extended members of the Ethier and Clark families. Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by her loving daughter, Kate Kimberly Ethier who was Called Home on January 14, 1978; her two dear brothers, George R. Clark who was Called Home on March 22, 2012 and Don E. Clark, Sr. who was Called Home on June 17, 2013; her dear sister, Loretta Puduski who was Called Home on August 10, 2013; and her three dear brothers-in-law, Donald F. Puduski who was Called Home on December 3, 2007, Jeffrey Burns who was Called Home on December 2, 2010 and Donald F. Gosselin who was Called Home on February 6, 2015. Her family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, September 3, 2015 from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 6:30 p.m. at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. The parking lot and main entrance are located in the rear of the funeral home at 20 Lafayette Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her burial will be private at a later date at Fairview Cemetery, Chicopee.
