Clover Jean Overton Wilson
1942-2015

TEWKSBURY: Clover Jean Wilson, of Tewksbury, departed this life on Friday, August 28, 2015.
She was born to the late Robert “Bob” Overton, Sr. and Beatrice E. “Mattie” Branch Overton. Clover was the third of four children, born on April 27, 1942 in Driver, Arkansas.
She leaves behind her brother Percy E. Overton.
Clover married Thomas Wilson on March 31, 1962, the love of her life.
Her soul mate and partner with whom she would have a relationship that would endure for over 50 years.
Thomas and Clover raised on son, Karl E. Wilson.
Clover confessed Christ as her savior and was baptized in 1955 at the New Galilee, M.B. Church in Burdette, Arkansas.
Clover graduated from Harrison High School in Blytheville, Arkansas in 1960. In 1960, she enrolled at the University of Arkansas Medical Center, where she completed her nursing training.
Clover and Thomas moved to Massachusetts in September of 1962, and later moved to Tewksbury in March of 1968.
From 1968-1974, Clover was employed as a Nurse at St. John’s Hospital in Lowell, MA. In 1974, she was employed at the Tewksbury Hospital until her retirement in 1998.
Clover was a member of the Cambridge, MA Omega Wives Auxiliary Organization of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, the Black Genesis Organization of Lowell, the Tewksbury Council of Aging, Deaconess at Shiloh Baptist Church in Medford, and in 2002, she volunteered Services at the Boston Medical Center in the Endocrinology Department.
Treasuring her memory are husband; Thomas E. Wilson; son, First Sgt. Retired, Karl E. Wilson; granddaughters, Kaila and Samantha; her brother, Percy E. Overton and his wife Dorothy of Turrell, AR; two sisters-in-law, Rosie Taylor Overton of Sannah, GA, and Gloria Lewis Overton of Belvidere, IL; sisters, Patricia Owens Marshall, Carrie Craig, and Bobby Morgan; also many nieces, nephews, and cousins and extended family members including, John Sullivan and David Sullivan, thank you for you unconditional love.

Calling hours will be Wednesday, Sept. 2, from 11-11:30 a.m., at the Tewksbury Congregational Church, 10 East St., Tewksbury Center, immediately followed by her Funeral Services to be held at the church. Interment at Tewksbury Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Clover’s memory may be made to the Tewksbury Senior Center, 175 Chandler St., Tewksbury, MA 01876. Arrangements entrusted to Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, Tewksbury.
