Dennis A. Rusin, 68, of Westport died Thursday, August 27, 2015 at St. Luke's Hospital after a long illness. Born in Fall River, son of the late Joseph F. Rusin, Sr. and the late Laura M. (Belisle) Rusin, he was a lifelong resident of Westport. He was a Communicant of Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport. Mr. Rusin had previously worked as a mechanic and as a security guard and was an avid gardener. Dennis actively donated bait for the Annual Boy Scout Fishing Tournament held at LePage's. He was a devoted father who enjoyed spending time with his family.
Survivors include 2 daughters: Denise A. Rusin of Fall River and Laurie Ann DeCosta of Coventry, VT; 2 brothers: Joseph F. Rusin, Jr. of Dartmouth and Richard L. Rusin of W. Topsham, VT; a sister: Laurie M. Johnson of MA; 3 grandchildren; his former wife Georgia A (Strickland) Rusin of Lakeville; and several nieces and nephews.
Private arrangements will be held at the convenience of the family.
