Anita Wood passed unto eternal life on August 28, 2015. She was born May 28, 1922 in Manchester to Alfred and Albertine (St. Pierre) Pinard. During her 93 years she lived in a variety of locales including CA., MS., and FL. and most notably St. Croix in the Virgin Islands. While she worked a variety of jobs over her lifetime, she was primarily a devoted wife, a beloved mother and an adored nana. In her life she enjoyed many recreational activities including boating, fishing, scuba diving and was an avid reader. She was one of the first female scuba divers in the U.S.
She is survived by her beloved husband Leo of 57 years. Her son Leo Jr. and daughter in law Tricia, as well as her beautiful grandchildren, Isabella and Sean. Her family includes her brother in law Bob Bussiere of Manchester and her loving nieces and nephews, Joanne, Diane, Richie and Danny. She also has a sister in law Jackie Pinard and many great nieces and nephews.
Services: Calling hours are Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at J.N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St., Manchester. A prayer service will take place at 11 AM on Thursday in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Road, Manchester.
