Eunice M. Andersen, 85, of Goffstown, NH, died Wednesday, May 18, 2005 in the Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH. Mrs. Andersen was born in Nashua, NH on December 4, 1919, a daughter of the late Rexford and Hazel (Smith) Mabry. She was a resident of Goffstown for the past 20 years, formerly living in Litchfield, NH and Hudson, NH for over 30 years. She had been employed at Bergeron's Mens Store in Nashua, NH and at Greenwich Turkey Farm in Nashua. She was a former member of the Hudson Community Church where she was the Superintendent of Sunday School for 14 years. She had also attended the Litchfield Community Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed painting, walking in the countryside, reading a good book and knitting for her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Arthur N. Andersen of Goffstown, her daughter, Carol Demers and her husband Leo of Greenville, NH, three grandchildren, Tammy Landry of Greenville, Ricky Bessette of New Ipswich, NH, Debbie Nita of Wilton, NH, four great-grandchildren, Joseph and Jacob Landry of Greenville, Joshua and Jessica Bessette of Mason, NH, three sisters, Erdine Kelly of Goffstown, Mary Deterra of New Bedford, MA, Verona Stevens of Michigan, one brother, Edgar Mabry of New York, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Calvin in 1949.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 21st at 10:00am in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. The burial will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Litchfield. Friends may call on Friday from 7 - 9pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Goffstown Fire and Rescue Assoc., 18 Church St., Goffstown, NH 03045.
