New Bedford- Manuel D. Mendonca passed away May 17, 2005 at St Luke’s Hospital. He was the Husband of Urania (Paiva) Mendonca of New Bedford. He was the Brother of Jose Mendonca , Clotilde Mendonca, Louisa Mendonca and Ezeltina Mendonca all of Canada and Hortensa Mendonca of Sao Miguel.
Mr. Mendonca was formerly employed at Berkshire Hathaway as a Maintenance Man until his retirement.
Mr. Dias was born in Sao Miguel, Azores, Portugal. He has lived in this area the past 31 Years. He was the son of the late Miquelina deJesus (Branco) and Manuel Pacheco Mendonca.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday May 20, 2005 at 9 A.M. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Burial will follow at Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Thusday from 6 to 9 P.M. at Perry Funeral Home.
