He ran the Bachelor Officers Quarters, and later served as the Mess Liaison Officer for the seven military clubs in the area. In August 1965 he was honorably discharged after attaining the rank of Lieutenant JG.

The Goldberg’s settled in Natick and Geoff started his career in the private sector with the Mass Mutual and John Hancock companies prior to establishing a small business financial advising company, G & H Associates in Natick. Eventually becoming G & G Associates, Geoff managed clients for over 40 years including HE Lupien & Sons, Vanaria’s American Service, Hartney Greymont, Greymont Construction, Algy Alexander, Ed Brown, and PureAqua Pools, among others. From 1980 to1985 Geoff served as a 1st Lieutenant and eventually Captain in the Thunderbolt Squadron, Massachusetts Wing of the Civil Air Patrol (an auxiliary of the USAF) as Squadron Chaplain and Finance Officer.

Geoff married Karen Rohdin Carroll in 1998 and they shared a life together in Sherborn and Popponesset Beach, Cape Cod. The college recognized his continued support by making him an honorary member of the alumni association.
