Dottie (Cere) Zavinsky, 89, of Manchester died August 19, 2015 at her home after a sudden illness.
Born in Manchester on August 15, 1926, she was the daughter of Arthur and Cecile (Drolet) Cere. She was educated in the local school system.
Prior to retirement, she had been employed by MKM and most recently Prevue Products.
Dottie was a longtime active parishioner of the former St. Edmond Church. She was a member of the parish’s Outreach Program, a former Eucharistic Minister and also worked for at numerous charitable bingo games.
Above all else, she will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who cherished time spent with family. She will also be remembered as a mighty prayer warrior that brought her family great joy. She was predeceased by her husband Peter Zavinsky in 1994 and many siblings.
Family members include her daughter Michelle Drolette and her husband John of Manchester; her adopted daughter, Lynn Dumont of Manchester; two grandchildren, Elijah and Crystal Dumont; two step-grandchildren, Michael and Jessica Drolette; one sister, Christine Fugere of North Carolina; a brother, Arthur Cere Jr of New York; many nephews, nieces and cousins.
A memorial service took place on Sunday, August 23, 2015 in the chapel at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St, Manchester. Private burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
