Carolyn J. (Fitzpatrick) Levey 79, of Natick died Monday August 17, 2015 at the Newton Wellesley Alzheimer’s Care Center.
A Natick resident for 25 years and also of Templeton she was born in Boston the daughter of the late Joseph and Dorothy (McDonald) Fitzpatrick.
Carolyn was dedicated to the health care profession and providing instruction in the field for over 35 years. She was one of the first women E.M.T‘s in the State of Massachusetts at the Framingham Union Hospital, where she previously worked in the Emergency Room Administration.
She later taught E.M.T and Basic Life Support at Dean Junior College in Franklin, and became an Administrator for the Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Company.
Carolyn enjoyed bowling and camping with her family, taking cruises, spending time in New Hampshire and was very talented with crafts and sewing.
She is survived by her 7 children Sandra J. Levey of Natick, Susan E. Kerr and her husband David of Cotuit, Sharyn K. Studley and her husband Ernie of Cohasset, Sheryl L. Huff and her husband Scott of Panama City Beach, FL, Sheila D. Mangan and her husband Owen of Hopkinton, Shannon C. Robertson and her husband Mark of Northbridge, Kenneth E. Levey, Jr and his wife Melissa of Natick, two sisters Cathy Russo of Hudson, Joanne Traber and her husband Skip of Watertown, 16 grandchildren, two great-grand children and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Friday, August 21st at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common. Burial will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery.
Visiting hours are Thursday from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. and Friday at 9:00 A.M. prior to the service.
