Diana C. “Susie” Green, 53, of Fitzgerald died Monday, August 17, 2015, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Saturday, August 22, 2015, at Central United Methodist Church, Fitzgerald, with the Rev. B.J. Funk officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Friday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Green was born October 3, 1961, in Denver, Colorado to Joyce Hasse Cutler and the late Billy Wilson Cutler. She was a graduate of West Laurens High School and attended Middle Georgia College and Gainesville Junior College. Susie loved horses and horse shows and won many awards in the sport. A homemaker, she loved animals of all kinds and opened her home to many strays. Susie’s ministry was comforting others, a task she accomplished through Facebook and the many friends she met along her journey. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Dr. Thomas A. Green; their children: Megan Green Reese and her husband Ryan, Alexander Green, and Amanda Green, all of Fitzgerald; her mother, Joyce Cutler of Fitzgerald; two sisters and their husbands: Debby & John Owens of Murrayville and Patty & Mike Alligood of Madison. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her father.
