Paul D. Tsourides, 64, died Thursday, May 12, 2005, at UMass Memorial. He leaves his wife of 35 years, Aliki “Alice” (Pantazis) Tsourides; a daughter, Adria T. Tsourides Dunker and her husband, Kenneth, of Worcester; a son, Marc P. Tsourides and his wife, Holly, of Worcester; a brother Athan D. Tsourides and his wife, Agnes, of Shrewsbury; a granddaughter, Alissandra Sofia Dunker; nieces and nephews. He was born in Athens, Greece, son of Dionysios and Theoni (Pavlides) Tsourides.
During peacetime, he served in the Air National Guard. Paul worked for 20 years at the George F. Blake/Castle Metal Co. He was president of Marine USA, Inc., in Worcester, which he owned and operated for 19 years. Paul was a member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, where he served on the Board of Directors. He was a member of A.H.E.P.A. and the Mass. Marine Trade Association.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 17, from Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester, with a funeral service at 10 a.m. at St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Monday, May 16, from 4-8 p.m. at Nordgren Memorial Chapel with a Trisagion Service during the calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham MA 01701 or to the Priest Discretionary Fund of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell St., Worcester MA 01609.
