FALL RIVER - Mary T. (Correia) Andrade, 82, 27 Wilson Rd., Somerset, died Wednesday at Charlton Mem. Hospital after a brief illness. She was the wife of Isidore C. Andrade, mother of Robert Andrade of Blackstone, MA, Thomas Andrade of Fall River, MA, Sharon Johnson of Jacksonville, FL, Mary Rolfs of Swansea, MA, Judith La Flamme Rocha of Swansea, MA. The sister of Edward Correia of Taunton, MA, Seven Grandchildren and Two Great Grandchildren, Several nieces and nephews. She was also sister of the late John Correia.
Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Manuel Correia and the late Mary (Machado)Correia. She was a Somerset resident for 47 years. She was a Graduate of Dominican Academy, Class of 1941, and then Thibodeau Business School. Before retiring, she was a Secretary at the Newport Naval Base and then a Homemaker. She was a former member of the St.John of God Womens Guild, and a former CCD teacher. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Womens Guild and A.A.R.P. She was a strong advocate of St. Jude Children's Hospital.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, 1521 No. Main St. on Saturday at 8:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John of God Church at 9:00 A.M. Internment in St. Patrick Cemetery. Calling hours Friday 5-8 PM
