OXFORD-June H. (Kihlstrom) Austin, 79, 1 Liberty Lane, and formerly of Cape Coral FL, died Sunday, May 8th in the Hospice Residence at Coes Pond after a long battle with cancer. Her husband William H. Austin died in 1984. She leaves 4 daughters, Vivian J. Lacilla of Grafton, Diane J. Granger and Joan A. Austin both of Auburn and Mary L. Poole of McMinnville, TN, a brother, Albert Kihlstrom of Ft. Myers, FL, 8 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, many cousins including Jean Williams of Worcester, and nephews and nieces.
She was born in Worcester the daughter of Albert and Hedvig (Brink) Kihlstrom. Mrs. Austin had been a seamstress for many years, and had worked for Astra Pharmaceutical for 13 years and later at Lyons Letter Service for 3 years. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and reading.
The funeral is Friday, May 13th with a service at 10:30 AM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery.
