THOMPSON, CT – Scott A. Meagher, 39, of 215 Sand Dam Road, died Saturday, May 7, in Saint Vincent Hospital, Worcester, MA.
He leaves his parents, Robert J. Meagher, Sr., and Joan M. (Matthews) Meagher of Thompson; a sister, Cheryl A. and her husband Paul “Nate” St.Onge of Southbridge, MA; a brother, Robert J. Meagher, Jr., of Pensacola, FL; a nephew, Matthew St.Onge, and a niece, Danielle St.Onge, both of Southbridge, MA; and his Lhasa Apso dog, Jo Jo.
He was born in Webster, MA, and raised in Thompson. He graduated from Tourtellotte Memorial High School in North Grosvenordale in 1983, where he was a three sport athlete. He then attended Castleton State College in Vermont for two years.
Mr. Meagher owned and operated Advantage Tile first in St. John in the Virgin Islands, then in Oahu, Hawaii, and finally in Pensacola, FL. Since 1999, he installed tile floors in this area before joining Rotman’s Furniture in Worcester as a salesman and installer. He enjoyed fishing, photography, cooking, and being with his many friends.
The funeral will be held Thursday, May 12, from Scanlon Funeral Service, East Main Street, Webster, MA, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Saint Louis Church, 14 Lake Street, Webster, MA . Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery, Webster, MA. A calling hour will be from 8:15 to 9:15 Thursday morning at the funeral home.
