Mounira G. (Kattan) Elia, 81, a resident of Lawrence, Massachusetts passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 16th, 2015 surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Lebanon on January 20th, 1934, she was the daughter of the late George and Rachel (Saman) Kattan. Mounira was educated in the local schools of Lebanon.
She worked at Cardinal Shoes in Lawrence and was a very devoted parishioner of Saint Joseph Melkite Church. Mounira belonged to the daughters of Saint Joseph and she was loved by everyone that knew her.

Samir Elia and his wife Rima of Lebanon, NH
Joseph Elia and his wife Micheline of Haverhill, MA
Her daughter Amal and her husband Tony Aboukhater of Haverhill, MA
Brother-in-law: Bishop John Adel Elya of Methuen, MA.
Her sister Toufeka Mousa of Lebanon
7 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 19th, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in Saint Joseph Melkite Church in Lawrence, MA. Burial will take place in the United Lebanese Cemetery in Andover, MA
