Violeta Mercedes Diaz, age 73, of Roslindale, formerly of Bani, Dominican Republic, on August 14, 2015. Daughter of Manuel DeJesus Valdez and Ysabel Arias. Wife of Julio Diaz. Mother of Silvia Pimentel, Carmen Florentino, Elizabeth Polanco, and Julio A. Diaz. Survived by 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Visiting hours will be held at the Brady & Fallon Funeral Home 10 Tower St. (Opp. Forest Hills MBTA Station) Jamaica Plain on Friday August 21 from 5-9 PM. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday August 22 from 10 until 11 am and then the funeral procession will depart for interment services at St. Michael Cemetery in Roslindale.
