Rita L. (Caron) Robidoux, 87, of Manchester, died August 13, 2015 at Hillsborough County Nursing Home in Goffstown after a long period of declining health.
She was born in Manchester on April 6, 1928 to Emery and Alice (St. Laurent) Caron. She lived in Manchester for most of her life.
Rita earned a bachelor’s degree from St. Joseph’s College in Windham, ME and graduated from Notre Dame de Lourdes Hospital School of Nursing in Manchester. She worked as a registered nurse for the Manchester Health Department for 33 years and was a member of the NH School Nurses Association and the National Association of School Nurses.
She volunteered at the American Red Cross and served on the supervisory committee of the Manchester Municipal Employees Credit Union. She was also a member of the Southern NH Snow Slickers Inc. and the NH Snowmobilers Association.
She was predeceased by her husband, Leo E. Robidoux in 1989 and by a son, Kenneth L. Robidoux in 1987.
The family includes three children, Michael F. Robidoux and his wife, Jennifer, of Bedford, Jane Robidoux of Manchester and Diane Cygan and her husband, Bruce, of Concord; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at Parish of the Transfiguration, corner of Kelley and Youville streets, Manchester. Committal prayers followed at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
