MASTRAS, Athena (Zariphes) Of Wellesley unexpectedly August 13. Beloved wife of George Mastras, MD, for 56 years. Loving mother of Maria P. Jacquemetton and her husband Andre of Manhattan Beach, CA, Dean G. Mastras, MD and his wife Julie of Gig Harbor, WA, George Mastras, Esq. and his wife Hope of LaCanada Flintridge, CA. Grandmother of Luc, Tia, Kassandra, Isabella, Sophia and Alexandra. Sister of Constantine Zariphes, MD of South Windsor, CT, Amelia Reilly and Dorothea Johnson both of Rocky Hill, CT. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Athena was a graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Nursing, 1957; Instructor at the Hartford Hospital School of Nursing; worked in the Infirmary at Wellesley College, Babson College and Pine Manor and also worked at the Wellesley Knowledge Beginnings Daycare for many years.
