Franciszka (Litwinczyk) Koziol, of Franklin, MA, died at Milford Regional Hospital in Milford, MA on August 12, 2015 following a brief illness. She was 85. Beloved Mother, Grandmother “Babcia” and sister; she was born in Poland and resided in Gdansk, Poland for many years, raising her family there before immigrating to the United States in 1973. She worked and lived in Dorchester, MA until her retirement, and most recently lived in Franklin.
Ms. Koziol is survived by her son and daughter- in- law Stanislaw and Carolyn Koziol of Wrentham, MA; her daughter and son-in-law Halina and Lee Vail of Sandown, NH; her sister Elzbieta Szczypior of Gdansk, Poland; her brother Wladek Litwinczyk of Cape Cod; her eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Walery Koziol, her brother Kostek Litwinczyk; her sister, Zofia Kobzik; her daughter, Danuta Lao and son John Koziol.
She will be missed for her sweet smile and delight in seeing her grand/great grandchildren.
Ms. Koziol will be buried in a private ceremony in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Derry, NH. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry is assisting the family with arrangements.
