Theresa A. (Lamarre) Grenier, 91 a former resident of Sslem, died peacefully Tuesday evening< August 11, 2015 at The Lafayette in Marblehead with members of her family by her side. She was the devoted wife of the late Cyrille A.J. Grenier with whom she had shared 68 years of marriage.
Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Rosa (Brochu) Lamarre. Married in 1946, she and Cyrille moved to Glendale, California where they lived until his retirement. The couple returned to Salem in 1983 and were members of St. James Parish.
Theresa is survived by two brothers, Laurent Lamarre of Danvers, Rene C. Lamarre of Salem, two sisters, Martha Diebner of New Hampshire, Rose Marie Darissse of Middleton, and three sister-in-law, Margie Lamarre of Salisbury, Grace Lamarre of Salem, Carol Lamarre of New Hampshire as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Robert, Rosario, Clarence and Lucien Lamarre and sisters, Lauretta O’Brien, Bernadette Anketell, Jeannette Searles, Julie Marks and Rita Cappuccio.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Route 114 / 1-A] Salem, on Monday, August 17, 2015 at 9:00 A.M., to be followed by her funeral mass in St. James Church, 156 Federal St., Salem at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem. Visiting hours in the funeral home will be on Sunday, August 16th from 3:00 to 6:00 P.M.
