ROCK, Margaret T. (Friel) Of Roslindale, August 8th, died suddenly at 87 after a lenghty illness, formerly of Jamaica Plain. Peg was the daughter of Daniel and Sarah (Kelly) Friel of Dunaff, County Donegal, Ireland.
Loving wife of the late Thomas W., former employee for many years with the Boston Gas Company. Beloved mother of Margaret (Peggy) Adams and her husband Alan of Roslindale, William and his wife Janet of Walpole and Thomas and his wife Dorothy of Mendon. Adored "Nan" of Matthew Adams of Jamaica Plain, Christopher Adams of Dorchester and Alex & Ryan Rock of Mendon. Nan will also be sorely missed by family dogs Walker & Watson, who could always count on a biscuit, or three, when they visited. Peg is also survived by her sister Catherine (Kay) Warren of Hull and her husband Edward. She was predeceased by her sister Beatrice Cunningham and her husband Robert and her brother Daniel Friel and his wife Patricia (Shea). Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Past employee of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, The Prudential Insurance Company and The Boston Company and Mellon Bank. The family would like to thank the many employees of the Deutsches Altenheim German Center in West Roxbury and The Belkin House Dialysis Center at the Brigham & Women's Faulkner Hospital in Jamaica Plain for all their kindness. Visiting hours at the P.E. Murray-F.J. Higgins, George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 2000 Centre St., WEST ROXBURY, Thursday, Aug. 13 from 4-8 pm. Funeral Mass in St. John Chrysostom Church, West Roxbury, Friday, Aug. 14 at 10 am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment in Mt. Benedict Cemetery.
