BEVERLY: Yolanda A. (Papa) Lunn, 92, died Monday, August 10, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Donald F. Lunn who died in 1983.
Born in Beverly on July 14, 1923, she was the daughter of the late John and Vincenza (DeSimone) Papa. A lifelong resident of Beverly, Yolanda enjoyed working at Colonial Cleaners for many years.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen F. Lunn-Obi of Salem; son, James D. Lunn of Palm Coast, FL; four grandchildren, Amanda Lunn, Heather Lunn, Shanna Goodlow and Joshua Kahler; sixteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Marguerita Bettencourt of Beverly and many nieces and nephews, including, Joan Matton of Beverly. She was also predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Gloria (Boatright) Lunn, two sisters, Marie Matton and Margaret Bateman Frasca and five brothers, John, Antonio, Rockey, Raymond and Dominic Papa.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday in St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 253 Cabot St., Beverly at 11 a.m. Visitation will be held prior to the Mass in the Grondin Funeral Home, 376 Cabot St., Beverly from 9 – 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St., Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Beverly.
