Dorothy "Dottie" Hall Evans, 69, of Tifton passed away Friday, August 7, 2015, at Fort Sanders Hospital in Knoxville, Tennessee. She was in Tennessee enjoying a vacation with her kids and grandkids. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 11, 2015, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with Rev. Joseph Crumley officiating. Mrs. Evans will be laid to rest at Mount Vernon Cemetery in Eldorado. The family will receive friends Monday, August 10, 2015, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Joe Camp, Johnathan Dillard, Doug Stout, Randy Riner, Chris Ring and J. R. Osborne will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be George Helms, Jimmy Woods, Connor Couvillon, Jimmy Sumner, Darien Pridgen, Chance Smith, Wade Barrett, Wyatt Barrett, Greg Rutland, Jim Turner, Chris Turner, Jacob Helms, Larry Cothren and Nathan McCalvin.
Mrs. Evans was born October 27, 1945 in Tift County, the daughter of Roy Hall and Clara Ca mp Hall, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Evans; and one sister, Peggy Joyce Hall Woods. She was a retired florist and worked at Mildred’s Flower Shop in Tifton for several years and was the owner of Our Flower and Gift Shop.
Mrs. Evans is survived by one son, Roy Herman Evans of Tifton; one daughter and son-in-law, Missy and Clay Turner of Tifton; five grandchildren, Howard (Jaeeum) Evans, Brett Turner and Travis Padgett, Nikki Evans, Jeremy Turner and Ashley Alden and Becky Evans; five great-grandchildren, Alex Turner, Bryton “Bo Bo” Turner, John Mitchell “Jo Jo” Turner, Liam Evans and Kiera “Ava” Turner; and a special friend, John D. Barrett of Tifton.
