Michael G. Kilgore, 68 of Londonderry, NH, died unexpectedly Saturday, May 7, 2005 in the Elliot Hospital, Manchester, NH. Mr. Kilgore was born in Lancaster, PA on October 6, 1936, a son of Kathryn (Gigl) Jones and the late Thomas G. Kilgore. He was a resident of Londonderry for a year and a half, formerly living in Windham, NH and Holmdel, NJ. Mr. Kilgore served with the United States Navy and following his discharge he attended and graduated from Rutgers University, Class of 1963 with a BS in industrial engineering. He was the Vice President of Operations for the Schmid Company in Randolph, MA. Mr. Kilgore was a member of the Council of Logistics Management. He enjoyed nature, the woods, fishing, spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He was an avid walker, reader and writer. He enjoyed his summers in Sea Bright, NJ. With his wife, Judy, Mr. Kilgore spent the last 10 years caring for his mother at home. He truly loved his family and his home.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Judy Kilgore of Londonderry, five children, Michael Kilgore Jr. and his wife Vicki of Union Beach, NJ, Scott Kilgore of Nashua, NH, Susan Montesano and her husband Ralph of Sea Bright, NJ, Wally Kilgore and his wife Kathleen of N. Hampton, NH, Mary Cowan and her husband Dennis of Raymond, NH, 14 grandchildren, his mother, Kathryn Jones of Londonderry, and his sister, Kathryn Jones-Walsh of Indianhead, MD.
Private family services will be held in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry, NH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Disease Research, C/O Development Office, Dartmouth Hitchcock Med. Center, One Medical Center Dr., Lebanon, NH 03756.
