Obituary


Geraldine M. Lescatre, 79, of Merrimack, passed away peacefully August 8, 2015, at Catholic Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Manchester on August 15, 1936, the daughter of Gerald and Madeline (Montgomery) Gagnon. She was a graduate of St. George High School and a lifelong resident of the area.

Geraldine worked for Pandora Manufacturing for many years and later at Reeds Ferry Market, as a cashier, retiring in 1985. She then devoted her life to raising her children and grandchildren.

She enjoyed knitting and camping, and loved her dogs and cat. Her husband and her family were everything to her. She was a problem solver and the person everyone could count on. She was described as always being fair and respectful. Over all, she will be remembered a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

She leaves behind her husband and soul mate of 54 years, Raymond A. Lescatre; three daughters, Debbie Mason and husband Tim of Ossipee, Judy Gamache and husband Mike of Goffstown, and Maddy Jarry and husband Dan of Amherst; two sons, Michael Lescatre and significant other Phyllis of Manchester, and Keith Lescatre and fiance Lisa of Manchester; eleven grandchildren, Melissa Faris and husband Jeff, Chad, Ashley and Tori Gamache, Kate, Emily, Matthew and Amanda Lescatre, Abby Jarry, and Breanna and Bella Lescatre; five great grandchildren; one sister, Carmel Finnemore; two brothers, Donald and Dr. Charles Gagnon; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her grandson, John Raymond Mason in 2014; one sister, Connie Dubois; and one brother; George Cahill.

The family would like to thank the staff of the ER and Murphy Unit, at Catholic Medical Center, for their exceptional care and support.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at St. Catherine of Siena Parish, 225 Hemlock St, Manchester. Burial followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to: Catholic Medical Center, Philanthropy, 100 McGregor St., Manchester, NH, 03102.
