Robert F. Anglon, 80, of Fitzgerald, died Saturday, August 8, 2015, at his residence.
Graveside services will be held 11 AM, Tuesday, August 11, 2015, in the Evergreen Cemetery, Fitzgerald, with Bro. Bobby Atkinson officiating. The family will receive friends from 9-10:45 Tuesday morning at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mr. Anglon was born March 19, 1935, in Cochran, Georgia, to the late Math & Pauline Bagley Anglon. He was a graduate of Fitzgerald High School where he played football. Mr. Anglon served his country honorably in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was the former owner/operator of Robert’s Bar and Colony Lounge. He was a welder and traveled throughout the United States. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers. An avid pool player, he enjoyed fishing and camping at the river. Mr. Anglon was a member of the Moose Club and was of the Methodist faith.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Anglon of Fitzgerald; children and their spouses: Robert “Bob” & Lori Anglon of Gainesville, FL and Beverly & Danny Tucker of Gainesville, FL; a step-daughter, Dana Gast of Fitzgerald; grandchildren: Ashton Anglon, Blake Anglon, and Bryce Anglon; three step-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; and a sister-in-law, Bobbie Anglon of Fitzgerald. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Anglon and a sister, Maxie Keene.
