Shawn A. Howell, 64, of Fitzgerald, died Friday, August 7, 2015, at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald.
Graveside services will be held 5 PM, Saturday, August 8, 2015, at the Evergreen Cemetery in Fitzgerald with the Rev. Rex Johnson officiating.
Mrs. Howell was born June 23, 1951, in College Park, GA, to the late Lewis Charles & Lois Beatrice Sowell Adamson. She attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and was a homemaker. A devout Christian lady, she lived in the community most of her life and was of the Holiness faith.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Jimmy F. “Peanut” Howell of Fitzgerald; her sons and a daughter-in-law: Jimmy F. Howell, Jr., & Emily of Ocilla, Joshua Lee Howell and Jesse Lewis Howell, both of Fitzgerald; grandchildren: Jadyn Howell and Kerrigan Howell of Ocilla and their mother Lindie Howell of Alapaha; brothers and sisters: Carole & Ray Groover of Wilmington, North Carolina, Charles L. & Scotta Adamson of Clarkston, Connie Phillips of Rebecca, and Steve Adamson of Locust Grove. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Jacob Howell.
