Margaret Joan "Jo" (Case) Retherford, Portland, formerly of Anderson, died Aug. 5, 2015 at Miller's Merry Manor in Dunkirk, IN after a brief illness.
She was born February 19, 1930 in Noblesville to William and Elizabeth (Raison) Case.
She was a homemaker who loved to travel, shop, attend festivals; spend time with her family and friends. She was an avid bird watcher and loved to feed them.
She enjoyed the Pacers and country music.
She attended Glad Tidings Assembly of God.
She is survived by her daughters, Gale (Robert) Bicknell of Portland; Rena Short (Bill Walker) of Mulberry, IN; brother, David (Dottie) Case of Westfield; sister, Becky (Case) Clark of Arcadia; seven grandchildren, Kevin (Anna) Short; Chad (Jenny) Short; Toby (Tina) Short; Robert (Leslie) Clarkson, Jr.; Monica Clarkson (Brett Condon); Sheri (Jason) Chafin; and Jason Foster (Kristen Coleman); several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Paul Eugene Retherford died in 2009; two daughters, Gloria Kay Retherford and Carol Clarkson; two sisters, Betty Baker and Shirley Grimes and a son-in-law, Denny Short.
Services will be 1 p.m. on Wednesday, August 12 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor John Ray officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the service at 1 p. m. Wednesday.
