Marjanna Zarth, 101

Marjanna (Jablonski) Zarth, age 101, most recently of Norton, formerly of Stamford, CT passed away peacefully at the All American Assisted Living in Raynham on Thursday, August 6, 2015. She was the beloved wife of the late Albert Zarth, whom she was wed for 64 years.
Born in Stamford, CT on June 29, 1914, she was a daughter of the late George and Victoria (Chmielowiec) Jablonski. She grew up and was educated in Stamford.
Prior to retiring, Mrs. Zarth had worked as a receptionist at the Norma Hoffman Bearing Corporation in Stamford. She had made her home in Norton for the past 2 years and was a former lifelong resident of Stamford.
Marjanna was an active member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Stamford where she served on the Women’s Missionary League. She enjoyed music, crocheting and gardening, She loved feeding the birds and animals that visited her yard and will always be remembered for her exceptional baking skills; especially her coffee cakes and pastries.
She was the devoted mother of Wini J. Pickett of Norton, MA and the late Albert Zarth. She was the cherished grandmother of Diana L. Eason and her husband Brian of North Carolina, Barbara J. Connors and her husband Seth of Taunton, MA and Matthew A. Pickett of Norton, MA, and great grandmother of Rhiannon, Charlie and Nick Eason, and Rhys Connors. She was the dear sister of Chester Jablonski of Torrington, CT and the late Adolph Jablonski , and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Saturday, August 22nd at 11:00 A.M. in the Trinity Lutheran Church, 265 Seaside Ave., Stamford. Burial will follow at Fairfield Memorial Park in Stamford.
Visiting hours are omitted and in lieu of flowers, Marjanna’s family has requested that donations in her memory be made to the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League and sent to the Trinity Lutheran Church, 265 Seaside Ave., Stamford, CT 06902.
