TAUNTON – Mary L. (Lima) Ferreira, wife of the late Lewis Ferreira, died at Marian Manor on Aug. 6, 2015.
She was 96.
Born in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Bento Carvalho) Lima. Mary was raised and educated in Taunton and was a lifelong resident.
A homemaker for most of her adult life, she also was a self-employed seamstress.
She enjoyed gardening and was an avid New England sports fan. S
he especially enjoyed Bobby Orr and the seventies Bruins.
Survivors include her son, Thomas Ferreira and his wife Carole of Taunton; three grandchildren, Valerie Ann Benoit and her husband Mike of East Taunton, Amy Boyden and her husband Matt of Rehoboth and Nicolas Ferreira of Chicago, IL; a niece and a nephew.
She was also the mother of the late Lewis Ferreira, Jr. and the sister of the late Virginia Sousa.
Funeral Services will be held at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Monday, Aug. 10th at 11 a.m.
Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
The family will receive visitors from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the services.
Evening calling hours are respectfully omitted.
