Daryl A. Farragher, age 53 of Lakeville formerly of Brockton, died Wednesday August 5, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family. She was the devoted mother of Olivia and Benjamin Teixeira both of Lakeville and loving daughter of Peter and Charlotte (Jordan) of Brockton and sister of Peter Farragher, Jr. and his wife Patty of Bridgewater and Rick Farragher and his wife Michelle of Plymouth. She also leaves four nieces and nephews Peter, Meaghan, Caitlyn and Cody Farragher.
Daryl was born and raised in Brockton and had lived in Lakeville since 1996. A 1980 graduate of Brockton High School, Daryl also earned a Finance degree from Stonehill College. She attended school in the evening while working full time. Daryl had also attended Suffolk School of Law.
Illness forced Daryl’s recent retirement as Benefits Coordinator at Verizon after 31 years with the company. She had been a member and past treasurer of IBEW Local 2322.
Daryl loved going to the beach, traveling and eating “Nana’s” chicken soup. She will be remembered as a selfless, compassionate and honest person who was always giving of herself. Daryl’s life revolved around her family especially her children and parents.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (Rte. 123) Brockton on Sunday 2-6 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Saints Martha and Mary Church, 354 Bedford St. Lakeville, MA on Monday at 10am.
