Obituary

WEBSTER - Adam S. Vrabel, 78, of 22 Killdeer Road, passed away Friday, May 6, in the Life Care Center of Auburn. His wife of 49 years, Stasia P. (Magiera) Vrabel, died in 1997.

He leaves a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara L. and Keith J. Pezzetti of Woodstock, CT; a grandson, Anthony L. Pezzetti of Woodstock, CT; two brothers, John Vrabel of Webster and Edward Vrabel of Hickory, North Carolina; nieces and nephews.

He was born and raised in Thompson, CT, a son of the late Martin and Anna (Tomesak) Vrabel, and lived in Webster most of his life. He attended the trade school in Putnam, CT.

He was a Navy veteran of World War II.

Mr. Vrabel was a tool maker at Whitin Consolidated Company in Whitinsville for 35 years before retiring in 1983. He was a member of Saint Joseph Basilica.

The funeral, with Military honors, will be held Wednesday, May 11, from Scanlon Funeral Service, East Main Street, with a Mass of Christian Burial in Saint Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb Street. Burial will be in Saint Anthony's Cemetery. A calling period will be held from 8:15 to 9:15 AM Wednesday at the funeral home. If desired, donations may be made to either the Friends of Saint Joseph School Fund, 53 Whitcomb Street, Webster, MA 01570, or to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
