Mary (Scott) LeMond, 92, of Hermitage, TN, died at McKendree Nursing Home in Hermitage, August 2, 2015.
She was born, November 1, 1922 in Scircleville, IN to Carmel and Fortha (Gross) Scott.
She won the Frankfurt Morning Times Spelling contest correctly spelling 100 words and graduated from Scircleville High School in 1940.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, quilting and baking and was known for her delicious pies. She volunteered in many areas including a Pink Lady at Community Hospital in Anderson for several years, the Christian Center and was a cook at church camp for many years.
She was a member of the Chesterfield Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include her two sons, Kirby LeMond (Deb Parrish Ellingwood) of Claypool, IN and Darryl (Darlene Flener) LeMond of Mt. Juliet, TN; grandchildren, Rachel LeMond and Jonathan (Lindsey) LeMond; great granddaughter, Anna Kate.
Preceded in death by her husband, John W. LeMond and her parents.
Services will be held at noon on Thursday, August 6 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Darryl LeMond officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service.
