Obituary

Salem – Mr. Teddy A. Jaworski 78, of Greenway Road, Salem, a retired Salem firefighter, beloved husband of Gina (Culot) Jaworski, died Thursday morning, May 5, 2005 in the Radius Heathcare of Danvers, following a long illness.

Born and raised in Salem, he was the son of the late John and Frances (Rakockg) Jaworski, he received his education in the Salem school system and was a graduate of Salem High School.

An honorably discharged veteran, he served his country during World War II as a member of the United States Army, having served with the Occupational Forces in Italy, where he and his wife fell in love.

Mr. Jaworski had been employed for thirteen years as a firefighter for the City of Salem, until the time of his retirement in 1963.

A lifelong resident of the City of Salem, he was a devout communicant of St. James Church for fifty years, where the family was active in Parish life and his children attended the Parish school. Mr. Jaworski was also active with the Athletic Boosters at Bishop Fenwick High School in Peabody for forty years where he was in charge of the Booster Beano for a number of years.

In addition to his wife, with whom he shared fifty seven years of marriage, Teddy is survived by four daughters, Loretta McNeilly of Hoover, AL, Dianne Shewcraft of Pittsfield, Elizabeth Guleserian of Burlington and Linda Debski of Neward, DE, two sons, John Jaworski of Danvers and Teddy M. Jaworski of Westboro, fourteen grandchildren, one sister, Jane Jaworski of Lynn, three brothers, Stanley Jaworski of Nebraska, Robert Jaworski and Louis Jaworski both of Salem, several nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held from the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Sq., East (at Salem Common) Salem, Tuesday, May 10, 2005, at 9 A.M. followed by a funeral Mass in St. James Church, Salem at 10 A.M. Relatives & friends invited. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem. Visiting hours Monday 4 to 8 P.M.
