Obituary

Dorothy Franklin was born on February 8, 1937 in Panama City, Panama to the late Irene Douglas. By the Grace of God she was blessed to be the daughter of a God fearing mother. This consciousness made her a woman who loved people.
After completing High School, she was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late Victor H. Franklin in 1955. They were blessed with five children.
Mrs. Franklin migrated to the United States in 1965 to join her beloved husband in Boston, MA. He preceded her in death in 1979.
Mrs. Franklin filled in the gap as both Dad and Mom for her 5 children, she was employed at the Massachusetts General Hospital for 25 years until she retired.
Because of her love of the Lord she joined Bethel Pentecostal Church in 1979 under the leadership of Pastor Wayne Dailey. Her thirst for righteousness was expanded and she was later baptized at the Childrenof St. Ann's Spiritual Baptist Church by the late leader Jeremiah Trotman and the late Rev. Mother Cynthia Doyle where she remained a dedicated member until her passing on July 20, 2015.
Mrs. Franklin had a good heart, she would volunteer to feed the homeless at the Pine Street Inn during the Thanksgiving Holiday season. She gave generously to many charities and religious ministries. She welcomed and helped those whom the Lord lead into her home for shelter, food or just to be in her presence.
Her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchild were her everything and she was there matriarch.
