Gilbert E. “Rocky” Rock, 75, passed away on July 28, 2015 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 2, 1940 in Holyoke, MA. He was a son of the late Ernest G. and Mae (Standen) Rock. Rocky worked as a Diamond-Die cutter for a wire manufacturing company for many years before he retired. He served in the U.S Army Reserves. He was a founder and head of the Crescents 50s and 60s Show Band. He leaves his loving wife, Kimberly (Kutt) Rock of Chicopee; 1 son Todd Rock and his wife Trisha of NE; 1 daughter Heidi Ross and her husband Rick of Ellington, CT; a sister Shirley Crownsberry of FL and 4 grandchildren; Gehrig, Caroline, Tyler and Brooke. He is predeceased by his brothers Thomas and Ernest Rock and James Crownsberry and also by his sisters Lily Foley and Pearl Rohan. He leaves his lifelong friend Robert Lagimonier and his wife Chris, and his sweet and dearest friend Carol Peloquin. A Special Thank You to Suzanne Picard of Holyoke Hospice for her loving care. Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 31, 2015 from 4-8 pm with a prayer service starting at 7 pm at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee.
