Marie H. (Smith) Hodge, 89, of Milford formerly of Medway, died July 27 in the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester. She was the wife of the late Kenneth Hodge.
Born in Boston, May 8, 1926, the daughter of the late Wendell and Ellyn (Ross) Smith, Mrs. Hodge was raised in Boston and had lived in Medway for over 20 years before moving to Belmont, New Hampshire where she lived until recently.
She had been an attendant nurse at Medfield State Hospital until retiring. She then moved to New Hampshire where she operated a farm for several years.
Marie enjoyed gardening, doing crafts and was an avid reader.
She is survived by her children, Craig Clive and his wife Cindy of Pasadena, Maryland, Susan Benavides and her husband Victor of Mt. Washington, Maryland, Thomas Clive and his wife Kathy of Belmont, New Hampshire, Elizabeth Snow and her husband Edward of Rincon, Georgia, Barbara Caruso of Milford and Jayne Bertone and her husband Paul of Franklin, and her step-son Douglas Hodge of Hudson.
She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be held on Friday, July 31, in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 3 Barber Street, Medway at 11:00. a.m.
Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Medway.
Visitation will be on Friday from 10:00-11:00 a.m.
