Philip A. Allard, 79

Philip A. Allard, age 79, a lifelong resident of Attleboro passed away peacefully on Monday, July 27, 2015 at the Mount St Rita Health Centre in Cumberland, Rhode Island.
He was the beloved husband of Sandra A. (Oliver) Allard to whom he was wed on June 30, 1962.
Born in Attleboro, MA on April 29, 1936, he was a loving son of the late Axzarias and Mary Ann (Salvas) Allard. He grew up and was educated in Attleboro.
Prior to retiring, Mr. Allard had worked for 15 years as a sandblaster at the V.H. Blackinton Co. in North Attleboro. He had formerly been employed at the Engelhard Corporation in Plainville.
Philip was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church in Attleboro. He enjoyed attending the Attleboro. Senior Center where he also volunteered his time.
He loved being near the Ocean and fishing, and along with wife enjoyed the beautiful scenery of the Cape Cod Canal and Plymouth, MA. He treasured the times spent with his family; particularly attending baseball games at McCoy Stadium in Pawtucket. His other interests including puttering around his yard.
In addition to his beloved wife of 53 years, he is survived by his devoted daughter Barbara J. England and her husband James of Cumberland. He was the dear brother of the late William Allard and Lucille Anita Horne, and is also survived by 2 nieces and 3 nephews.
His memorial service, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Saturday, August 22nd at 1:00 P.M. in All Saints’ Episcopal Church, 121 North Main St., Attleboro. Burial will be held privately at Mayflower Hill Cemetery in Taunton.
Visiting hours have been omitted and those wishing may remember Philip with a donation in his memory made to All Saints’ Episcopal Church.
