ROGERS, Ellen V. of Rockland, formerly of South Boston passed away peacefully on July 26, 2015 at the age of 89 surrounded by her family. Ellen was a devoted & dearly loved mother, grandmother & great grandmother. She is survived by sons Edwin & wife Teresa of Kissimmee, Florida, Joseph & wife Diane of Rockland, John & the late Eleanor of South Yarmouth, William & Judy of South Weymouth, daughter Mary Ellen Medeiros & husband Brent Kierstead of Londonderry, New Hampshire & the late Thomas & surviving wife Roberta of South Boston. She is the grandmother of twenty-three grandchildren & forty-four great grandchildren. She is also survived by Elizabeth & husband Edward Ford of Scituate, John & wife Stella Rogers of Rockland & numerous loving nieces & nephews. Visiting hours will be held at the Casper Funeral Home, 187 Dorchester Street, SOUTH BOSTON on Wednesday from 4 to 8 PM. A Mass to celebrate Ellen’s life will be held at Gate of Heaven Church in South Boston on Thursday at 11:30 AM. All are welcome to attend. Interment services are private.
