Obituary


Claire Marie Thing, 61, of Hooksett, died surrounded by her loving family on July 23, 2015, at Community Hospice House in Merrimack.
She was born in Manchester on November 19, 1953, the daughter of Roland and Irene (Roy) Blondeau, Sr. Claire attended West High School and Hesser College and was a secretary during her working career.
Claire enjoyed dancing, music, arts & crafts, bingo and crosswords. She loved flowers and adored birds, especially her cockatiel “Peetu”. Claire had a strong connection to God and angels, and was soothed by prayer. She was very generous to those in need and absolutely loved her family with all of her heart.
Claire was predeceased by her loving husband, Raymond B. Thing in 2013, as well as by both of her parents, and her brother, Robert Blondeau.
Family includes her daughter, Christine Lamotte and husband Douglas of Pembroke; two step sons, Michael Thing of Antrim, and Sean Thing of GA; three granddaughters, Nicole, Amanda and Hannah Benedetti of Pembroke; two step granddaughters, Mariah Thing of SC, and Stephanie Thing of Nashua; three sisters, Susan Charest Lyons and husband David of FL, Doris Pelchat and husband Felix of Goffstown, and Denise Boyd and husband Michael of Goffstown; two brothers, Roland Blondeau, Jr. of Barnstead, and Marcel Blondeau and companion Patricia of Manchester; six nieces, Lynn Munoz, Heather Becotte, Jessica Aresneault, Melissa Hogan, Samantha Lagasse, and Lisa Blondeau; 3 nephews, Corey Charest, and Aaron & Jeffrey Pelchat; and her friend and caregiver, Sharon Hnativ.

A funeral ceremony was held on Friday, July 31, 2015 at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Community Hospice House, 210 Naticook Rd., Merrimack, NH, 03054.
