Mr. Laurent C. Doire, of North Attleboro, died Saturday, July 25 in Morton Hospital, Taunton following a brief illness. He was born 84 years ago in Central Falls, R.I., the son of the late Henri and Lucienne (Bolduc) Doire. He was educated in Central Falls and had been a North Attleboro resident for the past 20 years. Prior to his retirement, Laurent had been employed as a custodian for the Rhode Island School System for a number of years. Following his retirement, he performed custodial duties at St.Mary’s Abbey in Norfolk for several years. Laurent was a U.S. Army and U.S. Marine Corps veteran, having served during the Korean War Era.
He leaves: 1 son: Charles Walleyne of Calif.; 1 daughter: Jeanne Zbinden of Calif.; 1 sister: Helen Theroux and her husband, Roger of Raynham, 6 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Henri Doire and Carmelle Doire.
Funeral services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Visiting Hours are respectfully omitted. Arrangements are under the direction of The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home of Taunton.
