Wilburn C. Garrett

Wilburn C. Garrett, 90, of Anderson died at I.U. Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, IN July 24, 2015 after a brief illness.
He was born February 18, 1925 near Burkesville, in Cumberland County, Kentucky to Roy and Bernice (Fudge) Garrett.
He was a welder at Guide Lamp 32.5 years before retiring in 1979.
He was an active member of Chesterfield Community Church of God.
He is survived by his sons, Dr. Kenneth (Samantha) Garrett of Muncie; Larry (Cindy) Garrett of Anderson; two brothers, Ruel Garrett and Willard (Wanda) Garrett all of Anderson; five grandchildren, two step-grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Mary Ruth (Jones) Garrett whom he married December 15, 1945 in Kentucky, died October 15, 2013 and two brothers, Radius and Radford Garrett.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Dr. Todd Faulkner of Chesterfield Community Church of God officiating. Burial will follow at Bronnenberg Cemetery in Chesterfield.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
