Manchester- Yvette J. Vachon, 93, died July 23, 2015 at Maple Leaf Healthcare Center following a brief illness.
She was born in Manchester on March 13, 1922, the daughter of Alphonse and Marie– Anne (Cote) Martel and had been a lifelong resident of Manchester.
Prior to her retirement she had been employed by Salvage Shoe.
She held membership in St Anne Sodality of Sacred Heart Parish, the CWV Women’s Auxiliary and was a longtime parishioner of Sacred Heart Church.
She was predeceased by her husband, Adrien Vachon in 1998 and by 3 brothers, Gerard Martel, Eugene Martel, Roger Martel, and 3 sisters, Cecile Hamelin, Lucille Chouinard, and Florence Cote.
Family members include one sister, Therese Poissant of Manchester and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and cousins.
As per Yvette’s wishes, there are no calling hours.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 AM in Sacred Heart Church, South Main St.
Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Maple Leaf Healthcare Center, 198 Pearl St. Manchester NH 03104.
