Annmarie "Ann" (McCormick) Crilley, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life suddenly on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She was 74 years old.
Ann was born in Charlestown on May 21, 1941, a daughter of the late Robert McCormick and Margaret (Connolly) McCormick. She grew up un Charlestown where she was educated in the Boston Public School and graduated from Charlestown High School in 1959. Ann worked for many years as a candy packer at Schraffts Candy Company in Charlestown before its closing. Ann enjoyed playing bingo and traveling to Twin Rivers Casino but her passion in life was her children and their families. Ann also dedicated herself for many years to the elderly in Charlestown and making sure that their daily needs were always fulfilled.
Ann is the beloved wife of the late retired Boston Firefighter Joseph W. Crilley. She is the devoted mother of Annmarie McCaffrey, John Crilley, Mary Crilley and Denise Crilley. She is the loving Nana to Daniel, Hannah, Ryan, Lauren and Annie. She is the dear sister of Mary Sheehan, Joan O'Brien, Janet LaPorte, Carole McCormick, James McCormick, Frank McCormick, Gerry McCormick and the late Margaret O'Neill, Dorothy Duffy, Bobby McCormick, Paul McCormick, Donald McCormick, Arthur McCormick and Joseph McCormick. She is also the loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Ann's Funeral on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 9 A.M. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, 55 Warren St. Charlestown at 10 A.M. Her burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden. Visiting hours will be on Friday, July 24, 2015 from 4 to 8 P.M. in the funeral home.
