DeVEER, Richard J. Of Dedham, formerly of Jamaica Plain and Mission Hill, July 19, 2015. Beloved husband of the late Patricia E. (Cotter) DeVeer. Devoted father of Michael G. DeVeer and his wife Deborah of Dedham. Brother of Margaret Drew of NH, John DeVeer of Easton, Dorothy Kelley of NH, and Robert DeVeer of Hyde Park. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Dear friend of Michelle Gillis.
Richard was a retired Chef at the New England Baptist Hospital and received the Presidential Award for 40 years of service.
Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons, Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., DEDHAM, Friday at 8 am Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, Dedham at 9am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8pm. Interment St. Joseph's Cemetery, West Roxbury.
