Raymond V. Grabowski, 81, passed peacefully on July 19th at his home after a brief illness. He was born on October 15, 1933 in Salem MA, a son of the late Josef and Stephania (Gutowska) Grabowski. He resided in Danvers MA for over 60 years before moving to Derry NH in recent years. Mr. Grabowski proudly served his country in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was a 35 year employee of IBM and a longtime volunteer in Danvers National Little League. Raymond enjoyed baseball, gardening, cooking, travel, theme parties, woodworking, home repair and remodeling, photography, golf, chess, cribbage, and many other endeavors.
He is survived by his children, Karl Grabowski, Eric Grabowski, Karen LeBlanc and Mark Grabowski; his grandchildren Alicia, Amanda, Akayla, Amelia, Alayna, Justin, Tyler, Jillian (Ojala), Justine (LeBlanc) Kelsey (LeBlanc), Adam, and Nathan, as well as many nieces and nephews. Ray was predeceased by his beloved wife and mother of his children, Barbara Ann Grabowski, as well as his siblings Thomas, Alexander, Henry, Edmund and Jean (Gavenda).
There are no calling hours. The family is planning a celebration of Raymond’s life to be held at a later date.
