Robert N. Odom
June 18, 1931- July 19, 2015
Robert N. Odom, 84, longtime Yorktown and Anderson resident died Sunday, July 19, 2015 at Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne.
He was born on June 18, 1931 in Frankton, Indiana, the son of Lawrence V. and Edith Pearl (Fairfield) Odom. He graduated from Anderson High School in 1949. He was employed by Borg Warner for 37 years as Superintendent of Skilled Trades. He attended Bethany Christian Church, was a member of the Lions Club and enjoyed playing the organ.
He was a member of Alexandria National Guard.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Jessie (Gillam) Odom, 3 sons: Steven (Carol) Odom of Millidgeville, Georgia, Scott (Judy) Odom of Anderson, and Stacy (Paula) Odom of Royal Center, IN; 7 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; siblings; Harold (Vee) Odom of Winchester, Joan (Michael) Johns of Piqua, OH, Don (Linda) Odom of Anderson, Norita Alexander of Muncie, and Judy (Gary) Ellingwood of Alexandria, and several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Hubert
Services will be held 10:30 A.M. on Friday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Bob Bell officiating. Entombment will take place at East Maplewood Cemetery in Anderson.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
