Lillian R. Newport, ‘Lily’ passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at Delaware Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Buffalo, New York. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Lillian Newport.
Lillian was, first and foremost, committed to her children, to whom she devoted her life. She had a great sense of humor and loved the beach and anything affiliated with “the sea.” Lily resided in Kenmore, NY since an early age.
She is survived by her daughter Laura A. Newport of Boston and Provincetown Massachusetts, along with her two sons, Wayne T. Newport of Gainesville, Florida, COL(R) Scot E. Newport of Chesapeake, Virginia, as well as Scot’s wife, Sally Newport, and their three children (Lily’s grandchildren) LCPL Brian Newport (and his wife Lauren), Sydney Newport, and Hunter Newport. Lily leaves behind two great-grandchildren, Lila and Gracyn.
Family and friends are invited to a Funeral Mass on Saturday, July 25, at 10:00 am in St. Peter the Apostle Church, 11 Prince St, Provincetown. Burial will follow in Provincetown Cemetery.
